Apostolic Mandate
Ours is not to be a ministry of position, earthly power, recognition or prestige. Ours is to be a TRUE apostolic mandate, which means we are to be the lowest of the low, in the earthly sense, yet making gigantic impact in the heavenlies. We are like Paul, who speaks about our position in this earth as, “put on public display at the end of the procession.” This speaks of the lowest, most humiliating place. We will run from man’s praises, because like Jesus, we will know “what is in the heart of a man,” understanding human motives. The good news is, we will run and not become weary, we will transform entire landscapes, both the land itself being healed and cleansed as well as those who walk on it! We will see God provide finances, raise the dead, heal the sick, open the eyes of the blind, and see many set free. We cannot be content to settle for anything less. If He had put less in our hearts and destined us to move in less, it would be possible to settle for less. But He has said, "Greater works than these shall you do" and this promise has sunk to the depths of our beings.
Having said all of that, we will be rid of any glory seeking in ourselves or those who we minister with. I believe that the hardship that we embrace in order to see God’s kingdom come to earth will scrape off any who are with us for wrong motives. As has been said elsewhere, it is a simple thing to make many verbal commitments to the Lord and mean them and to think that the motives of our hearts are pure, but it is quite another to allow God to purify us, to work tirelessly for Him and to endure to the end. The best of intentions are scrutinized in the fire of affliction and in longevity. As I've often said, "Faith untested is just a word." There are those who are called to stay and do a variety of different tasks for the Lord "on the home front" so to speak. They were designed for these and are where God has put them and we bless them because there are no unimportant positions in God's Kingdom. It just so happens that we are called to the front line.
We don't believe that we will accomplish all that God has put into our hearts easily, however, we do believe that throughout the years as well as in the end, we will overcome and we will have said that it was very much worth it all. Those who have suffered the worst for the Kingdom have all said that they would do it again. Why? Because they have, in the past, and are currently receiving a glory, in the midst of it all, that far outweighs the "temporary, light afflictions" and for the joy set before them can carry on to the end. They excitedly anticipate the next thing God will do for them.
It is given to us to know the heart and love of the Father and give it away. When this occurs, the Kingdom of God comes. Hearts are healed, lives are changed, bodies are healed, land is healed and freedom , prosperity and blessing comes on all fronts. That is not as difficult as it sounds when one is aligned with the heart of the Father. It is only ours to know our God, to follow and endure and let God do His work. Again, these things always come back to this: Let's find out where Jesus is working and come alongside Him and work with Him, rather than raising up another human effort and asking Him to bless it.
