We believe that when God builds a house, they do not labour in vain that build it. Therefore, we want God to build the house. He is the One who, so far has brought individuals alongside us, we only sharing what God is doing with them. Therefore if you feel like you want to be a part of this it could only be the Lord and here's what we've come up with so far.
A few options for Kenyan believers...
1. Pray for us and those we have touched. We never underestimate the power of prayer. Remember, "The prayer of a righteous man is powerful and effective."
2. Give. We purposely do not solicit funds or help but have so far seen God touching hearts to give. Here are some ideas....
a. Bicycles. Yes, most pastors and even regional overseers do not have ANY means of transport, including their #1 mode of transportation, the ol' bicycle. $95.00 can buy a pastor, evangelist, regional overseer or others a new one.
b. Bees. You've heard of killer bees? Well, they give the best and most honey and are a great source of income for those so blessed to own a hive. Don't worry, the owners handle with care! For a mere $110. a family can own a bee hive.
c. Dairy Cows. As mentioned elsewhere in this website, $500. will buy several widows a milk cow, a great source of food and income. We are also looking into the possibility of milk goats, which cost about the same but eat less and give much more nutritious milk.
√ d. Sound system. Ah, the things we take for granted in the USA. If the ministry could own one, they 1. would not have to rent them from others 2. could generate income for the ministry by renting them out to others. Well, as it has recently turned out, a person, who shall remain anonymous, recently donated over $2000 to fill this need. Praise God and thanks to the individual(s) involved!
e. PA loudspeaker system. This is honestly a must-have for Africans - it is a cultural difference. Whereas in this country, we don't use such things, in Africa, when someone starts speaking over a loudspeaker, the people flock to hear what is being said. They very badly want to get a loudspeaker system for their evangelism efforts, which are vital and ongoing. To have the system would require $1700 or a bit more, depending on how successful their shopping was. These items would also generate income by being "rentable."
f. For $3500 - 4000, they could own a large, conference-style tent. Again, they now rent from others - if they had their own, they could fund the ministry by charging rent.
g. Transportation. You name it - $4,000 for at least something to $15,000 for a badly needed (in the rainy season) 4 X 4.
DDAA also supports other ministries, as the Lord leads us to become involved with them. This is in the area of spiritual support as well as financial. Your giving will enable us to help keep worthy gospel ministers up and running for the Kingdom.
All gifts are tax deductible and receipts will be given immediately upon entry into the Roman calendar new year where return addresses have been provided.
Thanks for looking - we are believing God.
